I first heard about the filter from my old colleague, Craig Stitt, when he mentioned it to me at a recent dinner.
The idea came up in conversation about a story I had written about a client’s estate lawyer’s lawyer filter.
The lawyer filter works like this: lawyers filter out cases where they believe the person is guilty.
The lawyers then decide whether the case should be moved to the next phase of the trial, where they will be called upon to represent the client in a third-party proceeding, and if they agree to do so, they can go forward.
It is an expensive process.
A lawyer’s filters are also important for the public good, and are a key component of the process by which courts rule on cases.
So how does the lawyer filter work, and what is the cost?
In most cases, a lawyer will not be called on to represent a client in the case before them.
In most cases the lawyer will be given a client by name, usually a relative or spouse.
In some cases, the lawyer’s client is called upon in court, and the lawyer may be called to represent him or her.
Once the lawyer has been called on, they have to decide whether or not to represent that client.
Depending on the case, the first step in the lawyer filtering process can be to ask the client to be called as a witness.
But this is not always the case.
A lawyer can ask a person to give evidence on behalf of themselves, the client, or another party, which is what happens when a client is represented by a family member.
If a lawyer wishes to represent someone, they must first identify the party or party’s interest in the matter.
Next, the lawyers filter a case for the client by looking for the following: 1) A direct statement of the client’s position on the matter 2) A statement that is reasonably likely to be understood by the court in the context of the case 3) Evidence that supports the position of the parties 4) An explanation of what the court is looking for.
Each of these steps can take a long time.
In some cases a lawyer can take several months to prepare and the client can take years to be represented in court.
The lawyer’s work may be complicated and the costs can add up quickly, but the lawyer filters can make a big difference.
