The California attorney general’s office announced Friday that its attorney general, David Bongino, has raised $11 million in salary and other compensation for his four years as California’s attorney general.
Bongina has been in office since January, and he will remain at the post until the 2020 elections, said spokesman Michael Graziano.
The AG’s office is expected to announce more details about the pay raise later this week.
Bongsao’s salary is about $115,000, Grazio said.
“He has a tremendous amount of autonomy in terms of the decisions he makes, the personnel he brings to the table, the way he does business and the way his office conducts itself,” Grazi said.
In addition to his salary, Bonginas office is also expected to make $1.1 million in other compensation.
The California Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in Bonginas case on July 12.
