The best defense lawyer in the business will be the one you know, according to a new study from the firm of Luntz, Schoen and Schoen.
They have created the LuntZ brand, which takes its name from the lawyer who has won the most wrongful conviction cases in the past 20 years.
The firm is launching a series of seminars that aim to help people prepare for the legal fight they’ll face when they seek a divorce or gun-related defense.
Luntzes attorneys also work on the cases of people facing drug crimes.
Their latest class is called Legal Defense for Guns.
Lutzes attorneys handle the legal defense of those who were convicted of or pleaded guilty to firearms charges, but not necessarily murder charges.
Laut, who specializes in wrongful convictions and murder cases, said the new Luntzi series will give lawyers the tools they need to protect their clients.
“I think this is the first time that a lawyer’s going to be able to say, ‘Hey, you can get away with this case because you’ve had this wrongful conviction, you’ve got this murder charge, and this gun charge,'” Laut said.
“It’s the new reality.”
The company will launch a series on how to handle gun-case defense in June.
In January, Luntzie sued the Obama administration to have the Justice Department stop using its gun-crime data to try to increase gun violence reduction efforts.
Luter and his firm, which is based in Brooklyn, also have defended other gun-law reform measures, including the passage of a federal assault weapons ban in 2013.
In March, Luter defended a gun-owner who was convicted of murdering his estranged wife and daughter in a parking garage after she left their New Jersey home for a meeting.
“You’ve got a very, very important role in protecting the rights of the individual,” Luter said at the time.
The Luntzz brand is aimed at lawyers who want to take the job seriously and are prepared to put their skills to the test.
The company has been featured in Time magazine, CNN, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
“The Luntzy brand will allow us to serve the legal community, the public, and the private sector with a brand that represents the law and represents the best lawyers in the country,” said Mark A. Luster, Luster & Co. spokesman.
Lumer said his firm’s lawyers are trained to handle wrongful convictions, murder charges and gun cases.
“This is the new normal,” he said.
Lott said he believes Luntzu will help change the way lawyers and other professionals think about the work they do.
“In the last 20 years, a lot of people are saying, ‘I’m not going to do that, I’m not willing to do it,'” Lott told The Associated Press.
“We’ve got to be willing to say to them, ‘Look, I know that there are good lawyers out there and that we’re going to get some bad lawyers out of this.'”
