When a lawyer is hired, it’s important to be prepared to provide a complete answer about the attorney’s credentials and experience, a lawyer job ad warns.
“In the event that you are not able to do this, you should consider a position with a different lawyer, preferably a non-lawyer who has more experience and qualifications,” the ad for a Jerusalem-based law firm says.
The job description for a lawyer at the firm says the lawyer will be working as a “litigation specialist” and “legal affairs specialist” on a case.
The ad goes on to explain that the job will involve “developing the best available legal strategy for a particular matter.”
It is not clear if the firm would have a specific role to “advise on a specific case.”
The lawyer job advertisement did not specify what type of cases would be on the agenda.
The Jerusalem-area firm is based in a former law building.
The advertisement states that it has more than 50 attorneys and it is one of the largest and best-known law firms in Israel.
The firm is also one of a number of firms that specialize in defending Israel’s most high-profile cases, including the murder of a Palestinian teenager by a Jewish settler, and the abduction and death of two Palestinians in Hebron, as well as the Israeli occupation of the West Bank.
The ads have been shared on social media, including Facebook and Twitter, with a total of 3,500 shares and 8,500 likes.
It was unclear if the ad would appear in any Israeli newspapers.
The company said in a statement that it will be adding to its legal services and that the ads are part of a “campaign to encourage the legal profession to become more diverse.”
It also said that the firm is seeking to hire “professional lawyers who are committed to ethical practices.”
